How to resize Windows Server 2003 partitions without reinstalling?

This video shows how to resize Server 2003 partitions, how to resize system C: drive in Windows Server 2003 without starting over or losing data.

Three ways to resize Windows 2003 partition:

  • "Resize Partition" - shrink a data drive to get some free Unallocated space, and then extend system C: drive with this free space.
  • "Allocate Free Space" - just select which data drive to rob free space from and then add the space to C: drive.
  • "Extend Partition Wizard" - extend system or data drive by shrinking one or more other partitions with one step.

You can easily change any partition size without reinstalling or starting over. If the system C drive is NTFS, you can extend it without rebooting server. (close the open files and application before running this program).
